This quick and easy side pairs well with chicken, turkey, fish, or pork dishes. I typically serve it alongside turkey meatballs with roasted tomatoes or marinara sauce.
The orzo cooks up quickly and you simply toss it with butter, fresh lemon zest, fresh basil, and parm. Great for a busy weeknight!

Lemon Basil Orzo
Fresh and summery, simple to prepare.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Orzo (cooked according to package directions)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 lemon (zest only)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions

Cook orzo according to package directions.

Zest the lemon.

Chop the basil.

Drain orzo and stir in butter.

Add lemon zest and basil.

Top with parmesan and salt and pepper to taste.
